Episilone Company writes letter to Rengali MLA
-Odisha state under Rengali MLA Sudarsan Haripur on Thursday wrote to the Sambalpur District Collector regarding the illegal encroachment of forest land by Epistone Company in Sripura, Jharsuguda district. The villagers of Sripura have submitted a claim to the District Collector regarding the illegal encroachment of forest land by Epistone Company in Sripura and have been using the said forest land for the welfare of the people for a few days. However, Epistone Company is again using the forest land of approximately 7 acres in the area of Telkolei Maujra, Account No. 215, Plot No. 2942, as an illegal road. The company is using this forest land without taking any permission from the district administration for its use. In addition, the company has already destroyed a large number of valuable trees in the said forest land. Along with the investigation into this incident, the company has also taken action to protect the forest land and forest conservation. Rengali MLA Sudarshan Haripal has informed the Sambalpur District Collector in his letter No. 17/R/CDM/25/8/26 to take strict action against the company by releasing the forest land. When asked about this, Rakesh Mohan, the head of the Epichallan company, refused to comment on the matter.
