An encounter broke out between a joint team of the security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening.
According to our sources, three
Millitants have been trapped by the security
forces in the Tulran area of the Shopian
district. The encounter is underway.
A joint team of Police, Army’s 34RR and 178 CRPF had launched a cordon-and-search operation in Tulran area of the south
Kashmir district, following information about the presence of militants there.
The search operation turned into an
encounter after the militants opened fire
towards the security forces’ positions.
The security forces retaliated, triggering a
gunbattle that was going on when the last
reports came in.
